With such a major brand like L’Oréal Paris, I truthfully wasn’t sure what to expect from their Revitalift Derm Serum. While brands like L’Oréal often gain exposure and recognition for a reason, their products can also easily become hyped up and fail to deliver actual results. While L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum didn’t deliver on all of the promised results, it did impress me in more than one way.
The application of the serum itself is very easy, and can (and should) be worn both morning and night. The quick dry-time and odorless nature of the serum, as well, makes this a pretty easy serum for most anyone to use. However, the inclusion of castor oil in the ingredient list is something that those prone to skin breakouts should be wary of.
While this face serum is very hydrating and left me with a youthful, dewy complexion and glow, it failed to decrease fine lines and wrinkles or increase skin elasticity. So as far as a hydrating face serum goes, this is a total winner! But if you’re looking for an impressive anti-aging face product, you’ll want to look elsewhere than L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum.
I’m pretty surprised at how sticky L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum is. I actually think it’s the tackiest serum I’ve ever tried out, so I was a little apprehensive when I first applied it. However, it doesn’t feel sticky when you actually apply it to your face and neck. Instead, it has a very slick feel to it and glides right on your skin.
Once the serum has absorbed into your skin, it leaves behind barely any residue at all, which was surprising! You can’t feel a residue to the touch, but when I applied my other face products on top, they slide on much more easily than normal, so you can tell there’s something on your face in that way.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum is really simple to apply. After cleansing and toning your skin and allowing it to fully dry, apply just two drops of serum to your face and neck. A little goes a very long way with this face serum, so definitely make sure you don’t use more than 2-3 drops at most.
Once the serum dries, apply your moisturizer and any other face products you use daily. You’ll also want to use this serum both morning and night, which was really easy to do. It didn’t impact the wear of my makeup at all, which was nice!
I can’t believe how quickly L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum dries, especially because of how sticky the serum is! Once you’ve rubbed the serum into your face and neck, it’s completely dry within 10-15 seconds.
Personally, I loved this aspect of the face serum! You could tell it was actually absorbing into your skin, but it was still super quick and didn’t add a ton of time to my skincare routine each morning and night.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum is completely odorless.
I used L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm serum at night first, and when I woke up the next morning, my first thought was how hydrated my skin both looked and felt. My skin had a very youthful, dewy look to it, and my face actually felt plumper and healthier. Right off the bat, I was really impressed with the hydration aspect of the face serum.
Long Term Results
As far as a hydrating face serum is concerned, L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm does a great job. My long-term results in that department were very similar to my immediate results. My complexion looked very youthful, dewy, and plump the entire time I was using this face serum. I almost had a soft glow to my skin from the hydration, so I loved that aspect of it!
I did experience some blemishes the longer I used this face serum, which was a bummer. I personally think it’s because of the castor oil, because I don’t do well with that ingredient, as it tends to clog my pores over time. So this might be a face serum that’s hard to use for someone who has more sensitive skin or is prone to breakouts.
L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum didn’t deliver on the other anti-aging results it promised, such as decreasing fine lines and wrinkles or increasing skin elasticity, so I think it’s more of a hydrating serum than an anti-aging serum.
If you’re looking for a hydrating face serum that will last you a very long time, I personally think L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Serum is worth the money. It does leave your skin very hydrated, and gives you a youthful, dewy complexion. And since you only need to use a tiny amount twice a day, this is definitely a bargain as far as price is concerned.
If you’re looking for an anti-aging serum, however, or you’re more sensitive to breakouts, this would be a serum I’d recommend avoiding.
L’Oréal Paris doesn’t specifically communicate what their brand’s return policy is on their website. However, you can email and even text them directly if you have an issue with any of their products. So based off of that information, or lack thereof, I’m not sure how great their return policy is.
